Is there a full list of gear for Mt Elbrus that i could look at, as this would help me plan things i need to get or rent as the case may be.

If you request a tour you can expect that the company who arranges service has a kind of Equipment List. 'Pilgrim Tour' has and Lists are on the web site - different for different kinds of tours.
If you go on your own you still can check the lists and find ideas there.

That is one of points at left menu on every tour page.
You should know the page of your kind of tour. Open the tour page and find 'Equipment List' point at left menu. There are some other useful pages as well and I suppose it is recommended to visit all those points of menu.
