| There are no standard itineraries with such an option but if you order a private tour for you specially you can build any itinerary and all companies will be glad to arrnge it for you.. if you pay adequate price for this of course.. |

| Beyond 4600m there probably is very limited number of places where camping can be considered feasible. What would be the closest place to the summits where you would recommend pitching up a tent just to test ones high-altitude sleeping capabilities but also get a nice head-start to summit bid for sunrise the next morning? |

Because the slopes of Elbrus are not steep in common a small tent may be put almost everywhere except some steep areas. The problem is not a place but mostly finding a shelter from wind because in many places snow cover is not deep enough or there is a frozen snow. Reasonable places are:
Two rock lines before Pastukhov rocks (where vast majority of climber stay), the area at the lower end of Pastukhov rocks, The upper end of Pastukhov rocks, the Saddle (a huge more or less flat area with deep snow) and the summit plateau (big areas on both summits). If testing your equipment and health is the goal Saddle or summit plateau is a good place with possibility to dig snow or find a crevasse to have a shelter from wind. |

| I do not know if there are companies who can guide or assist you in climbing Elbrus. But if you want our helping hands, we can extend it to you just email me. Looking forward for your good response. |
